Chanukah Lighting in Austin
Chabad Lubavich of Austin held a at least five events this Chanukah. I attended the Menorah lighting at the State Capitol building at Congress and 11th. I’m amazed at the energy that Rabbi Levertov brought to this week.
I Made a Pull-apart Challah
I saw this style of Challah at a rabbi’s home this summer. It’s made in a round tin, out of small dough-balls. The whole thing grows together while baking.
The End of the Rainbow
When we left Van Nuys, our stated destination was Rainbow’s End, the headquarters park of the Escapees RV Club. Yesterday, we arrived at the end of the rainbow.

We have arrived in Conroe, Texas, met my parents, moved into the “Conroe Condo” and have taken a deep, deep breath. It’s almost anticlimactic.
I Like Purim a Lot
Today is Purim, the Jewish holiday celebrating the events of the Book of Esther. There are four mitzvot associated with Purim: Hear the reading of the Megillah — The Book of Esther. Give Charity Give gifts of food Eat, Drink and be Merry (I like this one :)
