On to LA
3 January 2008We drove up to Los Angeles today, and parked our trailer at the Westchester Elks Lodge in Playa del Rey. No hookups, but convenient to where we needed to be.
We drove into the Pico/Robertson area again, and picked up my new Tefillin. I plan a post on what we found inside the old tefillin and another on the new ones, but not today. We have no AC power, so I’m sitting in the Elks Lodge bar in order to plug in the laptop.
We’re having dinner tonight at the Encounters Restaurant in the middle of LAX airport. I’ll write a bit more about this if the experience warrants it.
They are expecting some pretty heavy rain for the weekend. Probably starting tonight. Maybe by now. Maybe. We need to decide where to be for Shabbos. So far, candidates are: Santa Clarita, Oxnard, Bakersfield and Santa Barbara.
