Return to a long lost hobby
17 August 2007From 1993 to 2000, I spent lots of time photographic Masonic Lodges as we traveled by car and motorcycle. In 1995, when the World Wide Web was born, I started posting those photos on my site. At the last, I had over 600 photographs of over 100 lodges in about 20 states. Somewhere around the year 2000, I lost interest in this. In 2003, I removed the entire website during a server crash, and never restored it.
Over the past five years, we found ourselves revisiting places we’d already photographed. There were no new lodges to find. My vacation schedule was limited and my travels did not break any new ground. Now we’re on the road again, and, even though I’m working pretty hard, I have much more travel time.
For the first time in five years… a new Masonic Lodge for the collection.
So the question now remains… do I continue? Do I restore the old photos? I’m not sure. We shall see.
