It’s been a while…

31 March 2008

… and some decisions have been made.

1. We decided to fly to the east coast for Passover, due to the price of fuel.

2. We decided that I would look for some contract work for the summer.

We had some suspension work done on the trailer in Needles. We had a broken leaf spring, and we took the opportunity to have all four springs, plus shackles and hardware upgraded.

In the process of doing the work in Needles, we spent two nights at Harrahs in Laughlin, NV. A fine hostelry, though a big large and impersonal. An average of $30/night worked in it’s favor, however.

We did a few interesting touristy things while waiting. We took a riverboat ride, visited an antique car exhibit, and also visited the Colorado River Historical Museum. Photos linked below.

After leaving Needles, we stayed for a few days in Lancaster, CA (at the Elks Lodge) while putting out resumes and looking at opportunities on Dice and Monster. Then we relocated closer to Los Angeles, on the 210 Freeway, in Rialto, where we will spend the week, while working on the job search.
